Ellipse 3 (oz13543)
About this Plan
Ellipse 3. Radio control vintage-style sport model, for .75 cc engine.
Direct submission to Outerzone.
Quote: "Hi Steve and Mary, I have another plan for you if you like. It's another lockdown build, inspired by a recently acquired SAM 75 diesel and my CAD system's ability to draw ellipses very easily. In fact it is my third elliptical design this year (hence Ellipse 3). Everything is elliptical, wing, tail, fuselage formers. It's quite a bit of work planking the fuselage but the result is worth it, very light and rigid. But the best part is how it flies. It's very aerobatic for a rudder/elevator design, even respectable rudder rolls. ROG take offs are dead straight (as long as I don't interfere). It's a current favourite, especially the lovely SAM 75, a couple of flicks every time and it really revs out on a 7x3. Regards, Warren"

I love it; it's like an 'E' Type Jaguar, not a straight line in sight.John Green - 06/01/2022

Notes
* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
Scaling
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
