Hardwood construction.
Quote:" Hi Steve. This is my first contribution to the Plans archive. I send you the plan of the 'Pelayo'. This was a model for the aeromodelling schools in Spain in the years 1940 to 1960. This model was the Spanish version of the 'Jungvolk' of the German NSFK. It was a model very simple and of limited flight qualities. Design by Hans Adenaw in 1940 it has a wingspan of 70 cm. A metal version (Jungvolk Metallmod.) was drawn by Otto Wernicke, in 1941. Greetings, Fernando González, Toledo (Spain)"

Wow! this was my first model. My father built one when I was 8 years old. Thank you very much for publish that plan. I've been looking for it from years and years.MikeSierra67 - 14/11/2019
Magnificent model; simple, easy and fast to build and very cheap materials. Very good to start.

Hola Mary and Steve. I send you some pictures of my Pelayos [model pic and more pics 004-012]. One is built according to the original plan, with pinewood and ply. The other one, modified for R/C, is mainly built in balsa wood.
Saludos from Spain,

Notes
* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
Scaling
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
