About this Plan
P-47 Thunderbolt. Radio control spaort scale figher model. A stand-off scale 1/2A RC for two channel radio using ailerons and elevator control. Designed by Don Dombrowski. Scale is 1/12.
Quote: "Hi Steve, This is the HOB 1/12 scale P-47 plans along with the templates for the ribs and some other parts. The ribs are spot on and will work with ALL the 1/12 scale HOB plans. That should help those out that would like to build those plans, but couldn't figure out the wing ribs. Everything else can be taken directly from the plans. The turtledecks can be built up from 1/16in sheet balsa or hollowed out soft balsa blocks instead of using the formed turtledeck/ canopy assembly, and then a canopy can be pulled from plastic after making a simple plug.
Looking forward to also sending in the HOB .20 sized Mustang and .20 sized T-6 Texan in the near future as soon as I finish getting all the templates traced. Cheers,"

Here are two pics of the House of Balsa P-47 completed as a controlline model with O.S .15r/c and a three line bellcrank [model photo & more pics 003, 004]. The work done by the late John Datri shortly after the kit came out.EdShearer - 30/10/2017

* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
Scaling
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
