About this Plan

Morris Mustang. Radio control sport fun-fly profile model. Morris Profile Series.

Quote: "Seeing the unmistakable profile of a P-51 Mustanf making a low pass with it's gear sucked up at the flying field is always a thrill. The Morris Mustang brings you that same excitement, but in an inexpensive and easy to build Profile Series kit. The look of the retracted gear is made possible by using a wire skid for takeoff and landing, which is practically invisible in the air. This 'Poor-Man's-Retracts' has the side benefit of reducing the total weight of the model by over 6 ounces. This savings contributes to the excellent flight characteristics of the model, which may be flown smooth and scale-like, or wild and exciting like our other Profile Series designs. An optional non-scale fixed gear is included.

Kit Contents: Balsa & Hardwood Construction Parts; Computer-Drawn Full-Size Plans; Illustrated Construction Manual; Colorful Decal Sheet; Extensive Hardware Package.

Wing Span 46 in. Wing Area 700 sq in. Length 44 in. Engine 32 to 46. Weight 3.75 to 5 lb. Radio 4 ch min w/ 5 servos (computer radio recommended)."

Direct submission to Outerzone.

Hello, This is all I have on the Morris Hobbies 'Morris Mustang". I combined a couple old PDF's I had into one PDF to include the plans & wing ribs in one file. Neither of the original PDFs I had were correctly scaled for printing at Kinko's & such. I once read that the wing ribs from the Morris Mustang can be used on the Morris Hobbies SPINsation (oz7178). Best Wishes, Jeff

Notes

* Credit field

The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.

Scaling

This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
