Bombardier CL-415 Super Scooper (oz9788)
About this Plan
Bombardier CL-415 Super Scooper. Radio control twin scale model water bomber, for electric power. Scale is 1/24. Plan uses foam construction.
Quote: "The CL415 was built in 2017 from the new set of drawings published on the Seawings website and is a bit more accurate in elevation than the earlier plan. There's a build thread at https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?3026103-Bombardier-CL-415.
Both models [a follow-up to the 2010 build of the CL-215] were designed for depron construction, but a traditional balsa build should be just as easy."
Note: This plan is one of a series posted on RCGroups by the designer, Mike Roach (SopwithMike) himself. See https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?3022867-Mike-roach-free-plans I checked with Mike and asked if he was happy for us to host copies of these plans, here on Outerzone: He said: "Hi Steve, I would be very happy for any of the plans I put up on the free thread to be put on the Outerzone site. I'm a great admirer of the site, have visited it often for inspiration and it's one of the reasons I have offered my own plans free to copy. I'm hoping Steve85 will be offering short kits at some stage. If anyone has comments on any of the plans, I'd be very happy to amend drawing for future builders. All the plans are hand drawn, so there will be the odd error and ommision! Best wishes, Mike"
Note: This scan of the plan is a 200 dpi bitmap, and was quite noisy, so I spent some time cleaning it up, removed the paper fold marks. See supplement raw scan in case any crucial areas got overly cleaned.
Supplementary file notes
Raw scan, before cleaning.

ScaleType: This (oz9788) is a scale plan. Where possible we link scale plans to Wikipedia, using a text string called ScaleType.
If we got this right, you now have a couple of direct links (above) to 1. see the Wikipedia page, and 2. search Oz for more plans of this type. If we didn't, then see below.
Notes:
ScaleType is formed from the last part of the Wikipedia page address, which here is https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canadair_CL-415
Wikipedia page addresses may well change over time.
For more obscure types, there currently will be no Wiki page found. We tag these cases as ScaleType = NotFound. These will change over time.
Corrections? Use the correction form to tell us the new/better ScaleType link we should be using. Thanks.

* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
Scaling
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
