About this Plan

Midget Mustang. Control line semi-scale stunt model for Merco 35 power.

Quote: "Semi-scale control line stunter designed for ease of flying and maximum stunt performance that met the challenge. Semi-scale lines of the Goodyear Midget Mustang adds realism to stunt and avoids the stereotyped look of so very many of today's top stunt models and should set a new design trend.

After thumbing through page after page of musty paperwork I located a back issue of MAN dated June 1949 in which the Plane of the Month was Dave Long's Midget Mustang. A long look at the GA and a read of the words, reavealed that the limited production version had the undercarriage mounted in the wing and the overall shape was good for a stunter. This was it.

I opted for no wheel pants, thereby creating a Custom version which could utilise a home grown colour scheme. As with all of my models the colour scheme was decided upon before construction commenced..."

* Credit field

The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.

This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
