Modified Shoestring (Minimum Effort). Plan showing mods to make a fun-fly version of the Goldberg Shoestring kit.

Note this here is not a complete plan - this is a mod of another plan. The RCM Goldberg Shoestring (oz1923) plan was published in Jan 1966. The donor airframe used here is the Goldberg Shoestring (oz4210) as kitted by Carl Goldberg models.

If you like to burn up a little sky, get your hands on a Goldberg Shoestring kit, as that is the basis for the 'Minimum Effort.' You will have a lot of balsa left over, as this is a stripped down version. Starting with the wing, modifications are as follows: Leave off the rounded wing tips and, instead, glue to each tip one of the side pieces already cut out of the sheet for the wheel pants..."

Modifications to the Carl Goldberg Shoestring. This mod strips away the scale engine cowling and canopy, converts conventional undercarriage to tricycle, and clips the wing tips.
