About this Plan

Sukhoi SU-26. Radio control sport/scale aerobatic model. Wingspan 1 metre.

Quote: "When I first read about the Russian MDS engines in the model magazines, I decided to get one and construct a small Su-26 for it. I wanted to build a Russian aeroplane with a Russian engine and the Sukhoi seemed like a good choice to me - apart from anything else, there are many attractive colour schemes available. Since I found no suitable plans for the size of model that I wanted, I fired up my CAD software and started to construct a model myself. I chose to have the wing permanently fixed to the fuselage - it is convenient on a small model and makes the airframe really stiff. The engine that I eventually ordered was an MDS 21, a power plant that has turned out to be excellent and perfect for my model. Although my design for the Sukhoi Su 26 is not a detailed scale model, it flies extremely well and certainly looks like the real thing when it's in the air where it belongs! "

Notes

* Credit field

The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.

Scaling

This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
