Jules - Free flight power model, for Mills 1.3 diesel.
Quote: - "Semi scale 1912 type model. Designed by Maurice Bayet, France. This model was featured in SAM 35 Speaks No.12, 1983. The undersigned obtained the Xerox sheet from David Baker and from these produced working drawings with some minor variations purely from personal taste but retaining all the essential design dimensions etc. The resulting model turned out to be a real 'fun flyer' - a sort of '1912 Type Tomboy'. Its ROG and climb can be a bit too snappy for 1912 but the glide would do credit to a duration model.
The Mills 1.3 gives ample power for this light model but watch out for that rudder - it's big and only needs very fine adjustment, hence the need for those wires and screw adjustment.
Our first flight at Chobham nearly ended up in a flyaway lost model in spite of only an estimated 1/2 tank of fuel..."

Did we get something wrong with this plan? That happens sometimes. Help us make a correction
* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
