About this Plan
Skippy. Free flight amphibious all-sheet model, for Cox Pee Wee .020 power.
Quote: "With all fuel aboard, engine slightly rich and hulls deep in the water, the prop flicks a few drops of spray before the front foils of theis flying boat rise clear of the waves. The rear foils lift close to the surface as the accelerating speed spreads the twin wakes away from the hulls. Seconds later, after a few skips on the surface, the engine leans out and the plans climbs up and away.
Making use of all-balsa structure with single thickness surfaces and advanced hull design, this Pee Wee .020 powered craft can be built in one long day or in several evenings to provide many hours of enjoyment on the water and in the air. Although the foils can beleft off for over-land flying the action described is so much fun that a flooded basement or even a filled-to-the-top bathtub is worth a try! One word of caution - the Pee Wee's interesting habit of running backward should be discouraged unless your hobbies include submarines.
The twin hulls are soft 1/4 in thick balsa, either 2 inches wide and spliced, or 3 inch wide if you are in a hurry. All cemented joints should have..."

Notes
* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
Scaling
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
