About this Plan

Sky-Liner. Radio control shoulder-wing model. K&B .45 shown.

Quote: "The 'Skyliner' was especially designed for those flyers who are looking for that little extra 'oomph' in the intermediate class. I chose to design a ship for this class, since there are but a few on the market which have the qualifications I like in a plane. I used to enter my rudder only ships in the intermediate class and was able to place in four out of five contests. However, times have changed and the flying in all three classes has improved tremendously. Even in class 1, the competition has been so keen, that many a contest is won by just a point or two. If you goof on just one maneuver, it may mean losing a contest.

This ship will certainly hold its own in any contest and I'm sure you'll be thrilled when you are at the controls of this ship. It is more than just a rudder ship, with elevators added for the intermediate class. It is a thoroughly flight tested aircraft, that is designed for the more advanced flyer. The ship is equipped with Rudder, Elevator, Elevator Trim, Motor Control, Steerable Nosewheel and Brakes.

I don't recommend flying this ship without trim. As far as I am concerned, trim is a very important factor in any multi ship. To attempt flying a ship of this particular design, without trim, would only be asking for trouble..."

Notes

* Credit field

The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.

Scaling

This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
