Mustang X 60 (oz8416)
About this Plan
Mustang X 60. RC pattern plane. Wingspan 65in, area 700 sq in. For .61 engine with pipe.
Note: Caution: Southern RC never made a Mustang X 60 kit. They only made one size, the .45 powered original at 55 inch wingspan. They never made a 60 size version. This plan is not original, or accurate. On close inspection, this plan is a re-scaled version of the original smaller Southern RC 45 plan, with some faked text added. Which is unhelpful. Suggest extreme caution. All dimensions shown and all wood sizes called out are incorrect.
The original Mustang X (oz12507) was first published in Model Airplane News Dec 1972. Then later kitted by Southern RC.
Did we get something wrong with these details about this plan (especially the datafile)?
That happens sometimes. You can help us fix it.

User commentsThis PDF presumably is a fairly good representation of the original Mustang X plan - I mean, it seems like someone took the original 55 inch Southern RC Mustang X plan, rescaled it to make it larger, then just defaced some text in the title block and the spec box. If that is so, then this PDF could most likely be re-edited back to create a good approximation of the original, again - at the right scale. Anyone wants to jump in, feel free.

* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
