Thirteen (oz8206)
About this Plan
Thirteen. Control line stunt model. For Fox .35 power. From Model Airplane News, December 1957.
Quote: "Long-span stunter for .29 - .35 engines has impressive rack-up of wins on the coast. Oustandingly easy to fly through stunts ...the Thirteen in the photos is five years old and has consistently been a winner in the WAM contests. It weighs 24 ounces and flies 75mph on 60 foot .012 lines with a Fox .35 running a 10x6 prop. This basic design flies level with almost no corrections from the pilot, yet it is capable of very tight maneouvres, due to the light wing loading. Square eights, triangular eights, you mane it, they are a snap with this model. Construction is simple, even with a tapered wing, so don't let this part scare you away... "
Hi Steve and Mary; I have had this plan for almost 60 years, although I never did build it. It was an interesting looking design for C/L Stunt, along the lines of the Zilch designs. I thought this one deserved to be preserved and made available to everyone. I hope someone does build it and sends you a flight report. Best Regards, MJB.

Notes
* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
Scaling
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
