NotFound | help
This is a scale plan, but ScaleType is set as NotFound.
This happens when we can't find a relevant Wikipedia page to link to. Usually because the type in question is uncommon.
Corrections? Use the correction form to tell us the new ScaleType link we should be using. Thanks.

I saw this come up on Outerzone a while back and immediately thought it would be a great peanut and a good practice for the Bleriot I want to build. Build was completed in 2 weeks and the model has proved to be a very successful flyer. Times are currently just under a minute with more to come. Weight ready to fly is 7g. Engine cylinders made from the bendy part of plastic drinking straws and styrene.MikeMulholland - 09/09/2016
Greetings,
Bill Hannan is listed as the source of this plan.
In the 1960’s, the wonderful Mr. Hannan published a number of delightful all sheet scale free flight designs, some of which are available on OZ. When I was 16 or 17, I found a copy of American Modeler with Hannan’s own plan for the Sommer Monoplane. It was definitely not this plan. My feeble memory says it appeared in the same issue as Howard McEntee’s Leastie Beastie. The issue is not in the RCLibrary. If anyone has the Hannan plan for the Sommer Monoplane, I would be thrilled to see it. I’m sure WCH published other such plans. He wrote an essay extolling all sheet construction as a quick way to build obscure designs.
It would be interesting to see a comprehensive list of his work. His designs had a delightful charm about them.
Let’s be careful out there.

Notes
* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
Scaling
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
