GP Special (oz7522)
About this Plan
GP Special. Free flight power cabin model from Swedish designer Sven Truedsson.
Quote: "Here's a nice one I came across, from an old post by Gluehand, that he reposted today. I gave it a quick cleaning and scaled it according to Gluehand's post. Thank you Gluehand for posting such a beautiful model!"
Quote: "Here is the 1939 GP Special, designed by the late Sven E Truedsson. Mr Truedsson was a legendary model flier/kit maker/importer (SEMO) etc, who ran his model business for many years. Briefly, he did a lot for the aeromodelling hobby in Scandinavia, during his lifetime. The old SEMO catalogues are sought after items on auctions today... The engine shown on the plan is a creation of the likewise legendary engine maker Giancarlo Pinotti, who produced various model engines in modest numbers. Pinotti and Truedsson co-operated to some extent in the early years. (hence the name GP Special) Wing span is 1870 mm (just over 73-1/2in)"

Notes
* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
Scaling
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
