Hi Mary, Here are some photos of my recently completed Super Jabberwock [main pic, 005-007]. I used images from the medieval/early renaissance artist Hieronymus Bosch (fuselage sides), contemporary artist Michelina Sarao (vertical stab) and an unnamed artist on the wing. I was also influenced by artist Barbara Kruger. Thanks for everything, BrookeBrooke Linford - 07/02/2025
Hi Brooke! My compliments on the creative and - as far as I remember - original idea! Did you print this on the tissue before doing the covering work? However, I'm sorry to complain about the colour choice. This may work fine on the live subject but then the photos don't do it justice. I had to view pic. 7 in negative to be able to see, and find there is an inscription along the top fuselage. I couldn't see my friend Bosch's work at all, it must be brilliant but I can't see it.
Next time - I expect there will be a next time - please allow some more contrast! Art of this nature on a model plane is too good an idea to let slip into a crack in the memory ;)

Thanks for your comment. The point of the color choice was to reflect the message within. It is hard to see, so you have to look closely just as we have to in our lives when dealing with difficult issues. I make a lot of pretty models, but this isn't one of them. It wasn't meant to be. You can probably guess that I am a former artist wanna be!

"...a former artist wanna be." I think not, the flame does not go easily down :) If the object fully conforms to your concept, then the work of art is complete - and it flies too!
The object did not come out so well in photos. I see that feature wasn't even considered. Better luck next time - for me.
Keep up the good work and please come back soon, I promise I won't be judging work from someone who knows better :)

Notes
* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
Scaling
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
