About this Plan
Supersonic. Radio control sport delta pusher model.
RC Deltawing from Erich Rabe the 'Supersonic'. Span 1020mm. Fuselage Length 1240mm. Engine Pusher from 6,5cc -10cc (0.40 - 0.61) 2T. Weight 2,4kg. Year of publication 1970. Scan from the original printed and drawing Plans (1:1).
Quote (google-translated): "Cut out all parts and check for dimensional accuracy. Before assembly, all parts must be compared with the plan, adjusted and possibly processed according to the plan. White glue should be used for all gluing, unless expressly stated otherwise in the assembly instructions. The left and right sides of the delta surface are symmetrical so that the dimensions from the left side can simply be transferred to the right during assembly. Assembly takes place in the order of numbering.
The delta surface is assembled on a construction board directly on the plan protected with a transparent film so that the lower end strip planking rests on the construction board in its entire length. To support the ribs, a 2 mm thick balsa board is stapled to the construction board approx. 10 cm in front of the rear edge of the end strip, a second support strip (20 mm high, 150 mm long) in the middle, 690 mm in front of the edge of the end strip.
The parts on the right side (ribs, undercarriage, planking, etc.) have the same numbering as those on the left side. It should be noted that, for example, the ribs on the leading edge must be beveled once to the left and once to the right and the opening for the leading edge in the side parts must also be made accordingly.
The upper side covers, which are to be made from 10 x 20 mm balsa strips, were not drawn out separately, as their dimensions are clearly evident from the elevation and side elevation. The double arrows indicate the grain direction of the wood, and in the case of plywood, the grain direction of the outer layer. The nose wheel was made steerable on the original model and coupled to the aileron. The rudder control was omitted because this does not offer any advantages on the delta.
First cut out and adjust the ribs, the fuselage side walls, the reinforcements, the engine bulkhead, the undercarriage bulkhead and the planking. Glue the spar (1) to the lower planking (2), the spar (14) to the upper planking (15) together (they must be exactly straight) and tack them in place until they dry. Cut out the engine rear wall mount (57) from hard aluminum, at least 3 mm thick, and drill it together with the engine bulkhead (17). Attach the screw nuts (M4) for the engine mount to the engine bulkhead. The four inner holes (3 mm 0) must match the holes for the housing cover of the engine used.
This drilling template is designed for the OS Max 40 engine; it must be modified accordingly if other engines are used. Countersink the four engine mounting screws either in the aluminum plate or on the engine bulkhead so that the aluminum plate lies flat. The remaining holes in the aluminum plate and the engine bulkhead are for the two tank connections and for the throttle rod..."

* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
Scaling
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
