Scale: 1/2.4, digital file.
Notes: Scanned and edited in PC Paint from Frank Zaic, Model Airplanes and The American Boy, pages 4-6. These pages are reduced from the originals. I added a title block. The 12in span is 5in on the digital file, thus the scale ratio of 2.4. The size in a print will depend on settings in the printer software. The original book drawing was 4.74 x 3.82in. Enlarging to print full size would not be practical; build on a pencil drawing. Note detail differences between this and the 1928 version. I have seen various reproductions of these two plans. This is part of a project I have undertaken to report on simple beginner models of the first blossoming of model aviation on my educational website www.endlesslift.com

* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
Scaling
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
