Bf-109. Scale model for radio control. Combat scale. For 3 channel RC and .15 power.
Note this plan is titled as "1/12 scale combat", but the scaling was increased slightly, to better match the size of the Bf 109 against the 1/12 P-51 Mustang (see article).

Hello Steve, I built the Stryker ME109 with a slightly enlarged wingspan, E222 airfoil section, and added a bit of rounding to the sides of the fuse formers for a more scale appearance, but otherwise pretty much to plan [see model photo]. As a side note, this model very close in scale to the GWS ME109, where a GWS replacement canopy would be a good fit.BillGaylord - 11/11/2015
Hi Steve and Mary, my latest project that I built [pics 003-005]. The BF-109 1/12 scale combat of Tom Stryker, this Warbird was built in balsa and the wings in foam core covered in 1.2mm balsa sheet. The finished is Brodak's medium silkspan, dope and Pintuco paint apply with airbrush. Powered by a Thunder Tiger .15 GP engine and controlled by Futaba 14MZ radio control. I hope you like it. Notes
* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
Scaling
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
