About this Plan
Titch. 30in span model by Ron Warring, from Aeromodeller 1952.
Quote: "Join up three pages for full size plans of a sport model. Designed for all beam mounted .5cc engines. Titch, by Ron Warring.
The fuselage is built up on the sheet box principle - accurate, rugged and yet extremely simple. Start by cuting two identical sheet sides from 1/16 sheet balsa stock of medium or light medium grade. Now cut accurately a get of Comers F1 to inclusive from light in, sheet balsa and cheek that all these are square.
The fuselage is assembled on a 1/16 sheet balsa crutch in the inverted position. For the crutch a piece of 1/16 sheet 18-1/2 in long and at least 1-3/8 wide is required. Mark a centre line on this sheet and then cement on all the formers in their respective positions. Centre lines should be marked on these formers as a guide.
When the formers have set, cement on the two sheet sides, pinning in place to each former until set. Trim down as necessary. Cut the two motor bearers..."
Quote: "First up is Titch, a 30 in sport free flighter designed by Ron Warring for engines up to 0.5cc. For me planes of this class are favourites and this design combines all the attributes one could wish for. Simple to build, rugged and good looking. Coming from the pen of Ron Warring you can also guarantee excellent flying characteristics. Keep it free flight with IC, put radio in it, make it electric, I reckon one for all of us to enjoy."

The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
