Manicaca I (oz6877)
About this Plan
Manicaca I. Control line trainer model. This is a modern redrawn plan in PDFvector format.
Quote: "Dear Steve - here is the plan from 'Manicaca 1' kitted by Mobral in the 70s. This was a very popular trainer in Brazil. It was a good flyer and the cost of Mobral's kit were lower than the competition ones at the time although the balsa used by Mobral in time wasn't the best. The most used powerplant in this design at the time was the also very popular Sassi 15, a brazilian engine based on the early Enya 15's. This CAD version was made by Eng Sergio A. Daeuble and is totally loyal to the original one. I'm sending you the plan, pics and an early ad that shows both the Manicaca 1 & Manicaca 2. This plane is known by good and stable flight and was also used by some pilots in club racing type meetings with hotter engines. Both planes shown on pics belonged to Mr Aluisio 'Bats' Dutra, in front 'Manicaca 1' and behind 'Manicaca 2'. Regards, Carlo"

Im sending to you too a pic [see more pics 005] from a Manicaca 1 built by the own Sérgio Daeuble to compete in a club metting racing with a CB 25, a great brazilian engine, now out of production. The event is called 'Corrida Maluca' or Crazy Racing! The regulations calls for maximum 25 plain bearing engine, 8 minutes total flights and 4 mandatory pit stops (20 cc per stopping) using FAI fuel supplied by the club. The plane must must have a non solid wing. The one in the pic have lowered wing profile to reduce drag. All the best,Carlo - 23/07/2015

* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
Scaling
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
