Smog Hog (oz6824)
About this Plan
Smog Hog. Radio control cabin model.
The original Smog Hog (oz671) design first appeared in Feb 1957 MAN. This here is a later redrawn plan. Quote: "Restored by Uncle Willies in 2003".
Quote: "Please find attached plan of the Bonner Smog Hog. I purchased these cleaned up & redrawn plans a few years ago from the now sadly defunct Uncle Willies plan service. Both L-R wing panels, ribs and fuse formers shown as is the complete fuselage without having to cut n paste the plan together as was the original MAN February 1957 version. Regards,"

Note this plan file is of dubious origin. It was certainly sourced from (and sold by) Uncle Willie, and presumably drafted by him, but of course the Smog Hog was originally designed by Howard Bonner. We assume that Uncle Willie drafted up this plan with reference to either the 1957 MAN plan or the 1957 Aeromodeller plan. Probably the MAN one, since he included the credit to Cal Smith, which does not appear on the Aeromodeller plan (as shown in the article).

Notes
* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
Scaling
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
