Hi Mary, Once again, many thanks for the ongoing work you do - I can imagine downloads may have been at an all time high during the pandemic which is one possible positive outcome from the saga! As you'll see, I've attached some pictures of my recently completed Gollywock [main pic, 005-008] to help brighten up the page for plan no oz6653. Incidentally, I suspect the two models pictured on this plan page are in fact the narrow chord version Gollywock II (oz1480) - but I may be incorrect! My model flies exceptionally well, built pretty much as per plan. For anyone planning to build this model I would suggest that you keep the tail as light as you possibly can to minimise the required nose weight. I built-up the vertical fin to save some weight and still needed a considerable amount of nose weight. You may even consider adding some strength to the nose instead of just adding 'dead weight' to reach the correct CG position. Don't let this put you off though, it is an absolutely stunning classic model and highly recommended to anyone looking for a simple to build and trim high performance sport model. Best Regards,

Hi Matt, you’ve made a lovely job of that Gollywock.

Allow me to echo your words, Colin :-) II find that propeller especially attractive, both in geometry and colour finish.

Hi again, here’s a photo of my newly finished Gollywock [pic 009], just waiting for a calm day to trim it out.

Notes

* Credit field

The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.

Scaling

This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
