Starduster X (oz6643)
About this Plan
Starduster X. Free flight pylon model.
Update 8/9/2024: Added rib templates, thanks to Shawn Whitely.
Quote: "Hello Steve and Mary, Here are some tracings of Sal Taibi's Starduster-X wing and horizontal stabilzer from plywood templates. I've had these since the mid-eighties. They came from the designer himself, Sal Taibi. He would fly at a park near my home during those years. I asked somebody at this park where I could get the plans for the Starduster-X. And the next week this person gave me the plans and these templates.
Also. Your plan of the Taube (oz13956) by Richard Wegener and Competition Models Inc uses this wing template. If you read Richard Wegener, the designer of the Taube by Competition Models Inc, in his comments he mentions that the Starduster-X wing rib is what he used for the Taube. Shawn"

Notes
* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
Scaling
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
