Hi, three photos of the TT Eagle 15T kit box art [more pics 003-005].SimonPlatt - 20/02/2018
Thunder Tiger Eagle [more pics 006-009]. I built the green one 30 years ago to teach me to fly. I built the orange and white last year to teach my 2 grandsons to fly. I built this model with ailerons and open fuel tank.

I built one of these from the kit that I had for ages. I also fitted ailerons but they aren't really needed as the rudder manages very well on its own despite the minimal dihedral.
I lightened the fuselage a bit by cutting holes in the lightply sides. If building from plan I would consider 1/8" sheet balsa sides instead of lightply. I used a magnum 15rc for power and this is just right. I wouldn't reccomend a 20 unless it was an old loop scavenged engine. It is not just a "trainer" but a nice flying sport plane.

Btw. the main wing spars are spruce in the kit, which I replaced with balsa to save weight as it doesn't need the strength (since proved correct). Also I added a large balsa gussets (triangular bits) to support the fuselage sides behind the wing mount as the large cut-out there seemed a weak point (imho). This plane is very robust (even with my changes).
Here is a photo of my version [main pic, 011]. Plus one of the build where I added lightness - holes in the not-so-lightply fuselage sides, plus a bit of balsa behind the wing mount that I forgot to mention [pic 010]. Cheers,

Notes
* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
Scaling
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
