About this Plan

Lil' Spirit. Radio control sort/trainer model.

Quote: "Hi Steve, Here is the .pdf of the Lil Spirit from Consolidated Models, the 1/2A version of the Spirit plans you already have, and a worthy competitor to the Minnie Mambo, Live Wire Trainer, Lil Esquire, etc. Designer was Don Carkhuff, and this plane is listed in your 'Wanted' pages. I had the kit back in the 60s and built several more over the years from the plans, first with escapements and then pulse rudder and all powered by the basic Cox .049s. Flew fine with the weight kept under 16 oz. Have had one in the building stage for awhile, will now complete for electric and send photos... These plans are from a kit... and don't show the bulkheads, but these can be determined as the side and top views are there and the small drawings show the cutouts. I don't recall any instructions but they should not be necessary as this is a pretty simple aircraft. Keep up the good work,"

Hi Steve, Here are five photos of the completed Lil Spirit to use as you wish. I submitted the plans a couple weeks ago and you now have a cleaned-up copy posted.

* Credit field

The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.

This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
