Steve, I am attaching several pictures of the LW Skimmer. The LW Skimmer was designed about 6 months after I designed and Hobby Lobby kitted the Skimmer 400, I also designed that model for them. The Skimmer 400 was a very successful model and continued as a kit for several years. Back then the Speed 400 motor was just becoming available and we thought it be nice to build a model around that very economical motor. Matter of fact back then we didn't think it had much power and were pleasantly surprised at its ability to climb well and soar nicely. It turned out to be a very fun sport model that was easy to build for most modelers experienced with basic balsa building. The low wing Skimmer has an interesting genesis in that I was looking at an easy way to take that same size model and make it a low wing monoplane so I turned the fuselage of the Skimmer 400 and upside down, flipped exactly the same wing added some gear out of the fuselage and then added a turtle deck and canopy molding and there you have a low wing version. One thing in retrospect is that it really needed more dihedral as it turned very poorly since it only had a rudder and no ailerons.JayBurkart - 03/04/2015

Notes
* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
Scaling
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
