Dummmy Cylinder Head (oz6419)
About this Plan
Dummmy Cylinder Head. Wooden Cox .049 Dummy Cylinder.
Quote: "I'm working on a conversion of a 1/2A C/L stunt plane to R/C, and one of the things I'm doing this time is making a cylinder head for it. It's a stack disks cut on the laser. They are a mix of 3/32" balsa, 1/16" balsa, and 1/32" ply on a 1/8" birch dowel. After gluing the disks in the right sequence, I put the dowel into the drill press (DON'T use a Dremel - you need super slow with torque) and touched the sides with a nail file to make them smooth. A coat of nitrate seals the wood, then black and silver go on to finish the illusion. My silver paint is dried out. Here's how it looks right now. I also attached a PDF for those who are interested in making their own."

* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
