Combat Kittens (oz6410)
About this Plan
Combat Kittens. Control line combat model. For .049 to .074 power. Wingspan 23-3/4 in, wing area 131 sq in.
Direct submission to Outerzone.
Update 4/11/2022: Have resized this plan up to fullsize at wingspan 23-3/4 in, thanks to Ed.
Note the original plan as printed and supplied in the box was at half size, [see pic 006] since as Doug points out, the kit parts were assembled 'in the hand' rather than on the plan. So. For a half size (original) plan, see the supplement 'previous' file. For 100% size, use the main plan file. Basically the two files are the same, except the resolution is set to either 200 or 400 dpi.
Supplementary file notes
Previous scan version (half size).

Just checking. I assume the original kit plan was not printed at fullsize, was it? It looks like the layout drawing is at (approx) half-size. What I mean is, does this plan need scaling up?
SteveWMD - 01/11/2022
Yes, the plan measures 11.36" wingspan. Listed as 22-3/4" on the drawing means it's half size. We built a lot of Flite Streaks back in the day and it was meant to build it in your hand. Looks like this one was also. There was no super glue back in the day, so we pinned and taped it together as best we could with Ambroid, then went over each joint with glue again. Our construction was pretty sloppy but they flew anyway. Just print the plan at 200% and you'll be fine.

Notes
* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
Scaling
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
