Rivets (oz6064)
About this Plan
Rivets. Scale pylon racer model. Joe Foster's 1967 American Nationals winning Goodyear racer.
Quote: "...it is, in our opinion, the most aerodynamically beautiful of all the subjects. Rivets was designed around the K&B .40 Rear Rotary Engine which at the time was just out on the market. We have been more than satisfied with this selection. We can't recall ever having a bad engine run in a contest. In fact, Rivets lost but one heat race during all of the 1967 contest season. This was due to pylon cuts..."

NotFound | help
This is a scale plan, but ScaleType is set as NotFound.
This happens when we can't find a relevant Wikipedia page to link to. Usually because the type in question is uncommon.
Corrections? Use the correction form to tell us the new ScaleType link we should be using. Thanks.

Outer Zone, I printed out this plan today at FedEx on 36” x 48” engineering paper. It cost me $9. The plan is beautiful. Construction looks fairly easy. I will probably substitute a symmetrical airfoil that is a bit fatter than the racing airfoil, and fly the plane as a hot aerobatic plane. It should be a good fit for one of the new gas 10cc engines (OS GGT10, or Saito FG-11). Thanks OuterZone!StephenWuest - 14/05/2015

Notes
* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
Scaling
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
