Hello again. Last year I wanted to make a model especially for our friend Roger. He loves humour so I decided to build the Jimmy Allen "Yellow Jacket" oz6062 for him, but altering it enough so I could call it "Jolly Roger" for obvious reasons [pics 006-011]. He loves it. I also made another Yellow Jacket for myself, only slightly altering the strange cockpit area to my own liking. I left one of the cockpits off Roger's model. Both still not flown although they are perfectly able to. They are covered in Airspan and doped with other film trim, can't remember exactly which ones! I wish I'd kept "Jolly Roger" I prefer it.Thanks again for all your work,
John & Kath.

Hello, Jimmie Allen’s model airplanes impress me in two ways: they look like real planes and have excellent flight characteristics. The Yellow Jacket (oz6062) is now my third Jimmie Allen model [main pic, 012-014] and is waiting for its maiden flight. I’ve made a few modifications: I omitted the second cockpit, installed a different cowling with exhaust pipes and a rocker cover, and used internal wing mounts. The propeller shown in the pictures is mounted for display purposes only. A 10-inch propeller is recommended for flying.

Notes
* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
Scaling
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
