Micro Mambo (oz6057)
About this Plan
Micro Mambo. Sport RC model. A reduced scale version of the original 1961 Sterling Minnie Mambo (oz5733) design.
Quote: "Steve, Micro Mambo by Bob Harris. This is a very cute 1/4A (.02 cubic inch) powered radio controlled designed in 2009 (cad 2010) for modern day equipment. Bob sent me his CAD work and I added to it. The wing span is 25.7 in so it is slightly larger than the 1/8A LaStick. The drawing is copyrighted by Bob so I asked him is I could send it to OuterZone, his reply follows:
'Yep, that file has gone all over the world. Funny, a few years ago another Micro Mambo was featured in Model Aviation. The guys said they designed it. Several years after you made the file for me and so many other guys built them!!'
This is a vector file & exported from cad at 600 dpi for the page 1. Page 2 contains the cut files @ 300 dpi."
Direct submission to Outerzone.
Note, photo of the completed Micro Mambo is from the build thread online at http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/1-2-1-8-airplanes-70/9698832-my-newest-project-micro-mambo.html

I built this model but when flying it, the rudder seems extremely sensitive. I think the dihedral is a bit too much and might be reduced to eliminate that problem.Ben Calloway - 19/12/2022

Notes
* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
Scaling
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
