Hi Steve in the late 60’s my Father James K Jolly designed several Controline models for Jay Brandon the then owner of Dumas. The Old Tiger was a very successful design used in Controline Goodyear racing a kind of Teamracing here in the US. I was the Pilot of the Team Jolly/Frazee that tallied a quite successful tally over several years. My Father was the Designer of the Jolly/Transue Team with Jack doing the Photo work and inking the drawings. They did The 2.5cc Old Tiger, a 1/2A version for that class, The Mooney Cadet, The Crusader for Controline Carrier, and a Corsair 2 for Aerobatics. My Father was a Talented modeler that always encouraged me to reach for the stars and then help me get there. It was my extreme good fortune that my Father worked with me in our Special Effects business the last 15 years of his life.

Thanks Larry. Have switched the designer credit on this now to Jim Jolly.

* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
