Does anybody have the traced parts for this MK kit version of the Blue Angel? The FMT plan that is also on this side is a different version, and slightly less pretty to me. Parts would be great, I would like to build the best flying rc airplane I've ever had again.

Hello, I need CAD drawings and laser cutting files for F3A Blue Angel. Thank you

I don't remember many model plans being done in CAD in 1973, I wouldn't count on that. If I were you I'd draught them myself over the plan bitmap image. It's not such a complicated design.

Hi Steve and Mary, Here are some pictures of my Blue Angel [main pic, 004-006] built from an excellent kit made by Ratzo Modellbau from Germany who manufactures CNC cut wood kits for a few classics, see https://www.ratzo-modellbau.de/bausätze I finished the model exactly as Mr. Yoshioka’s model with which he won the 1973 F3A World Championships in Gorizia Italy, incidentally the same location where I would win the F4C Scale World Championships 15 years later with my twin ICDF powered F-15 Eagle model, see http://avonds.com/World%20champion.htm
The unusual lighter metallic blue colour was inspired by a cover page of Radio Control Speed & Sport, see attached picture [pic 007]. Power is provided by an almost period correct OS 60 FSR engine and a chromed Kavan 11-7 3/4 prop.
Best regards,

Notes

* Credit field

The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.

Scaling

This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
