About this Plan

Svenson Twinny. Radio control sport biplane model. Kit # 30465.

Quote: "Hi Steve, I received that plan about 25 years ago, when the stuff box of an unknown club member in our work shop was disbanded. After interrupting the hobby for many years, I started with the Twinny again. It's a very nice flying Biplane with gentle habits. The Twinny is electrified with an AXI 2820/10 which maybe is a little bit over the top, half-throttle is perfect for spacious biplane-cruising. Wing span is 100cm, formers are complete (except the template for the landing gear) ... Regards and thumbs up for that great archive."

Hello Steve and Mary, I helped a clubfriend a couple of months ago with cleaning out his hangar a bit and put some stuff for sale. In the items that were "permitted to go" I found an original Svenson Twinny, partially built and covered, I commented a bit that this one should not be offered for sale, but he should keep it. Instead, he gave it to me. What a nice present! So it needed some patchwork, new landing gear, RC, and a power setup. I chose a light 4s setup, kavan 3536-1000, with 9x6 prop, 40A esc. Today it had its first roll-out, I hope to maiden it as soon as the weather permits [pics 010-012]. Please find some photos attached! Best regards from Belgium,

Notes

* Credit field

The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.

Scaling

This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
