Hi Steve, I have 2 Vicomptes, first build in 1983, the other in 2009. The Vicomte 2009 is covered with Japanese paper. I like this plane. The 4 cc OS engine 4 T is the best engine for this plane. See more http://users.skynet.be/fa046192/ Greets,

Hello This aircraft is an authorized copy of the orginal "Baron", designed by Christian Chauzit in 1969. lebarondechristianchauzit.blogspot.fr This plane is very popular in France and maybe should it be credited as "Baron" on outerzone.co.uk ?

Hi Steve and Mary; here's another VICOMPTE, last aircraft made in factory SVENSON [more pics 004]. Flies very well, with 4cc 4 stroke. Thanks.

Hello Steve and Mary, Included are some pics of my Svenson Vicomte with electric setup [more pics 005-007]. I've used a SK3 3536 kv 1400, with a 40A ESC, a 9x4,5 electric prop and a 3700 mAh 3S LiPo. Perfect setup for this plane and you can get long flight times with it (12 minutes at least). With the LiPo up front the CG is spot on without adding one gram of lead.

The top of fuselage is not straight, nor the spar of the wing.

Hi Steve and Mary, here's my yellow VICOMPTE by Svenson [more pics 008]. Equipped with 4cc OS FSR abc, it's a very good model with open hull. Covered with SOLAR FILM - very cheap stuff.

Hi Mary and steve; Vicompte ready to go, the original transmitter year 1974 works good. February 7, it's like summer today. With 4 cc OS FSR ABC, best engine ever made. Kind regards,

Hi Steve and Mary; Here's my latest Vicomte in 1915. But now with electric motor! not very realistic, but nowadays. Here the rough finish [pics 010,011]. With engine and landing gear 800g. Now covered with Japanese paper and dope. Always nicer than the plastic foil. Kind regards,

Hi Steve and Mary: the Vicompte 1915 is ready [pic 012]. My pilot is the lucky cat. This way I am sure of safe flights. Stay in the house for a month due to the CORONA crisis. This Vicompte 1915 is completely ready in one month. That is twice as fast or in normal times. Thanks for Outerzone, Kind regards,

Hi Mary; The complete finish of my last VICOMPTE [pics 013,014]. Today with Santa as the pilot. My cat is watching with argus eyes. Beautiful weather here in Belgium for weeks. Sorry, I can't fly it because of that CORONA. Kind Regards,

Hi Mary and Steve; Today 7-5-2020; the new Vicompte flown electrically for the first time at 9 am. He flies fantastic, a pleasure to see. He lands like a feather. A pleasure to see the wooden construction, seen through the Japanese paper. I see all my hours of work flying nicely in the air, with full sun in a heavenly blue sky. 25 minutes of flying pleasure; with 2 Batteries 2200 of 3 cells in parallel. I use a 40A ESC by Multiplex, and G15 by HK motor, prop 11 x 7. Kind regards from Belgium,

Some video of my original Svenson Vicomte here: https://youtu.be/PsE2uakQKgA. Spec is SK3 3536 1400 kv motor, 9x4,5 prop, 3S 3700 mAh lipo, 45A ESC.

Hi Mary; I have now made my only electric Vicompte original as before. I replaced my Electric motor with the OS 4 cc 2T [pics 015, 016]. I think electric flying is good for the small Keilkraft models and gliders. But for models over 1 meter, I still prefer an original Glow engine. With one tank of 200 cc I can fly for 35 minutes, while with 3 cells 4400 mA that is a maximum of 12 minutes, and then no power as with the glow engine. It is also more fun with a real combustion engine, makes a nice sound. It's just like a real plane flying by. Kind regards,

Notes
* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
Scaling
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
