I am starting my own version of this Tri-Pacer which will be covered with the same livery of my late Father's Tri-Pacer that he owned way back in 1950. When I downloaded this plan, there was no horizontal tail. Is that part of the Plan Missing?

No, not missing. The horiz tail is made up of parts numbered 54, 55, 56. They are shown in the printwood files. Assembly drawing of the tail is at the top right of plan sheet #2.

This is my 59" Sterling Tri Pacer scratch built from plans [more pics 004, 005]. Built for vintage class show competition. It is single channel rudder only with a K&B .19 greenhead for power. It won first place at Toledo in 2012.

Hello, The photo in red and white 1959 livery [pic 003], was not made from the small Sterling kit version. It was made from the traditional big 58 inches wingspan Tri-Pacer Sterling kit. Both models, although similar, are completely different in structure and general design.

Hi Steve, Here are pictures of my 44" span Sterling Piper Tri Pacer [main pic, 006, 007] recently built from an original kit. This is later than the one that I built in 1963 and with which I won the RAF Championships Free Flight scale event.

Hello Mr Eduardo. It's true the Piper Tripacer in the photo N2333A is the 58 inch large version,they put it there by mistake. I think that Piper belonged to you Mr Eduardo,according to a friend who bought it from you and used it to test the RC equipment. He gave it to me and I recovered it since it was very abandoned and with many damages. The Piper flew again in 1994. Then I sold it and I think it still survives there but it doesn't fly anymore. Hola Carlos, Yes, I had the Sterling 58 inches Tri-Pacer way back in 1972-73. If you are referring to that model, well, it is incredible that it is still around!! Presently, I don't remember who purchased the model. Too many years have passed. I am planning to build another one , this time with laser cut parts and with some modifications to the stabilizer. The Tri-Pacer is very dear to me because it was my father's first private aircraft he purchased way back in 1951. EDUARDO

Notes
* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
Scaling
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
