G'day Steve and Mary.
Do you know why my plan of the Minnie Mouse that I gave Outerzone exclusive publishing rights to ended up being published on a website that rips off and clones all the hard work of Outerzone plan submitters and then sells them for money?
I did not give permission to these greedy low life bottom feeders to use or publish any of my work!

Hi Danny, have you ever been into paper modeling? Sometimes I wonder why people still devote their time to construct and publish highly detailed, well researched kits. Searching the net you will find scans, repaints, re-labeled kits, the whole spectrum. - As payware of course. Leaves you in a loss for words.

You would have to contact those sites specifically and ask them to suspend the plan on their site stating that OZ has been given sole rights to the plans. Plans get taken and plagiarized all the time it seems with some changing a minor detail and then calling the plan their own. I wouldn't mind my work being spread around as long as someone doesn't take and produce it for their profit or claim it as their own work.

Danny, directing your question to Steve isn't right; he is not responsible for what other sites do with intellectual property. Contact the other site and tell them it is your material and they do not have your permission to post it. Tell them (nicely) to remove it.

I think Danny is raising a point, more than asking for a direct answer. For anyone interested in more detail on this story, I started a thread over on RCGroups to discuss this current situation. See: https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread...

Notes

* Credit field

The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.

Scaling

This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
