Nighthawk Sportster (oz4388)
About this Plan
Nighthawk Sportster. Sport rubber model. Small field flyer. Tern Aero (Hi-Flier) kit no 104.
Planfile includes full build instructions.
Quote: "Cut out each part carefully from the printed sheet with a pen knife - use a new blade. Xacto blade no.11 works very well. Trim all notches closely. Put all parts aside, ready to use. Your hobby dealer has cement for balsa and clear dope for tissue.
Put waxpaper over the fuselage side view below and build two sides over the layout. When the first is dry build the other over it to match. Use a straight building board, sodt enough to stick pins into - as many as you need to hold the glued members in place.
Glue F7, F8 and F9 together. Cemment F11A parts to F11 sides and let dry. Glue F7 unit between fuselage sides F11 and add formers F10 to cabin top F17 between sides..."

Update 30/12/2025: Added printwood, thanks to Tom Solinksi.
Quote: "Happy end of year greetings! From my collection to yours some scans of the printwood for the subject kit. Thanks again for keeping our history.
Tom Solinski"

Notes
* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
Scaling
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
