Shooting Star 40L (oz4182)
About this Plan
Pilot Shooting Star 40L. Radio control model.
Quote: "Plan from Pilot (OK Model Co., Ltd) designed by Y. Matsumoto for a .40 - .45 class 2T engine, very popular in the 1980s".
Update 26/04/2013: Replaced this plan with a better version that includes templates, thanks to Min Min Man.
Quote: "Could you replace the plan on Outerzone with this update. The same original poster but rib and bulkheads have been added. I had the tracings for those but my old plan was no good so we put them together to make a great plan."
Did we get something wrong with these details about this plan (especially the datafile)?
That happens sometimes. You can help us fix it.

User commentsHello, I went through OK Model Pilot Catalog No. 5 and found a picture of the Shooting Star 40L [model pic]. It is the first picture I have ever found of this plane. Seems to be a rare bird after all. Keep up the good work!

* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
