About this Plan

Chihuahua. Control line stunt model.

Quote: "Hi Steve, This one was sent to me in this format. One of our club members at school gave me a model of the Chihuahua when I was 16. Brilliant flyer as I remember on an AM 1.5."

Hi Guys, What month and year of original publication? Assume Aeromodeller as their old plans handbook says 1963? Regards,

Just wondering, does anyone know where H C Quek is from?

Courtesy of Google AI:
'The prominent control-line aeromodeller and designer H. C. Quek came from Singapore. During the 1960s and 1970s, he was an active figure in the region's model aviation community and served as a prominent contributor and writer for the international AeroModeller magazine.
The Singapore Aeromodelling Society (S.A.S.): Quek was a key representative and coordinator for the S.A.S., organising regional quarterly flying competitions and connecting local enthusiasts with British Royal Air Force (RAF) station model clubs based at Seletar, Tengah, and Changi.
He became globally recognised in the hobby for designing simple, durable, and highly capable control-line semi-scale stunt aircraft. His published plans via the AeroModeller Plans Service'

Notes

* Credit field

The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.

Scaling

This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
