Darter III. Control line stunt model.
Quote: "All this from the November 1952 Aeromodeller. The Darter III is for all those that love a small control liner. This design, by T. Jolley, was presented as a free plan and may therefore have been built by the hundreds. I'm sure that my friends and I would surely have built one if we had got our grubby mitts on a copy. The use of a 0.5 engine (read Mills for that), 30 foot cotton lines, the promise of stunting capabilities and a quick build would have been all the encouragement that a keen schoolboy would have needed."

Plan redrawn in CAD as PDFvector format, thanks to hogal. Quote: - "As always with my drawings they are but tracings from the original magazines scans so may well contain faults, measure often before trimming wood"

Darter was designed and used a Albon `Dart' O.5 cc diesel engine, not a Mills 0.75 cc engine.anon - 11/01/2017

Notes
* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
Scaling
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
