About this Plan

Yeeha (Yee Ha). Free flight power model for .049 - .051 engines.

Quote: "Originally designed in 1960, 'Yeeha' is a hot 1/2A Contest model for today's rules. When it was originally designed it was deliberately built large by the popular standards of the day to take advantage of the high weight rules then in effect.

Few changes were made during the next two contest seasons. and even no W the original design is virtually unchanged. The model is lighter, of course, and has much more power to get it up there. We like to have a model for each displacement class. but 'Yeeha" serves well in both 1/2A and A with .049's and .051's.

Construction of the fuselage is not particularly unconventional. but a few steps to follow are in order.. The fuse-lage top is cut from a sheet of soft, light Visheet balsa. quarter-grained if possible. Slot for the pylon and for the stab platforms. The platforms are cut from 1/16 plywood..."

Update 02/12/2014: Replaced this plan with a clearer copy, thanks to JJ.

Notes

* Credit field

The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.

Scaling

This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
