Bob Kane has two of these, one in a kit, one he built from a kit. He was a flying buddy of Lou Andrews in Massachusetts and each new model from Aamco Lou released, he'd take on out to the field and show it off. Bob says the X Ray was the last of the planes to be produced, 1972 was the release year. I bought both the kit and finished plane [model photo and more pics 003-005] and find it to be more my speed than the slower, smaller Ray's. The X Ray is fast and light. Thin wing chord makes a nice .40 with a longer fuselage than the QuikRay.J330 - 21/09/2016
According to his Bio on the AMA website, the X-Ray was his last design to be kitted & was released in 1980, not 1972.

Notes
* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
Scaling
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
