Dove. Nordic A2 glider. High performance bird with good contest record.
Quote: "The Dove is a proven high performance Nordic A-2 glider. The model has placed first in all contests entered over a two-year period except one in which it placed second. Some of the wins have been with all maximum flights. The heart of the model is the wing airfoil. Designed to enable the model to take advantage of the lightest of lift no matter how close to the ground that lift is. The model is ruggedly built and extremely easy to fly in all types of weather.
Some plans do not have the most important details such as CG location, weights of component parts, types of con-struction, materials, etc. Some of these little but important details can make the difference between an average model and an outstanding model, performance-wise. In this article, you will find all the details and data necessary to enable you to have a model capable of meeting all competition.
The balsa wood used for construction of all components (except wing tip sections) is of medium weight and straight-grained. White glue is used for all wood construction. Notes
* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
Scaling
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
