Whirlwind (oz2696)
About this Plan
Whirlwind. Sports radio control model.
Quote: "Ted Strader Wirlwind. This model is one of my best modeling experiences. I built and flew a Whirlwind back in 1964 with Fox 15 power and rudder-only control. It was purely amazing to see how well this 46" span low-winger flew and how stable it was with only 1.5" dihedral. I presently have a new one under construction."

This is my Ted Strader Whirlwind which is an amazing airplane [more pics 003, 004]. I built my first one R.E.M. in 1961 with compound escapements and a K&B .09 up front. This one is a three channel with an O.S. .15 and is a great little flyer. I have flown with Ted Strader.TerryConley - 24/04/2019

Notes
* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
Scaling
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
