Cougar. Control line flapped stunter. This is a modern redrawn plan in PDFvector format.
Quote: "If you do decide to use the plan it is a tracing from the original scan so please take care. The Cougar was designed by T. Stoker for use in the 1956 Gold Trophy but had fuel feed problems on the day (not an uncommon occurrence I know). She has a wingspan of 45 in and is designed with a motor of .19 to .29 in mind. All in all a beautiful example of the British Stunter in vogue at that time - before the Fox 35 ruled the roost."

COUGAR was designed specifically for flying in the 1956 Gold Trophy, but unfortunately, fuel feed troubles did not allow it to show its full paces. Normally it flies extremely smoothly through the whole stunt schedule at 72 mph with a K & B 19 in the original. With a little modification the popular Frog 500 or any of the powerful 35 diesels and 19 glow engines would be ideal.
Begin construction with the wing. This is best tackled with the leading and trailing edges packed up. The lower spars and LE sheeting are cemented in place..."

Notes
* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
Scaling
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
