Focke Wulf FW-56 Stosser (oz2577)
About this Plan
Focke Wulf FW-56 Stosser. Scale rubber parasol plane. Scale is 1/12.
Direct submission to Outerzone.
Quote: "The Fw-56 makes an ideal flying scale model for a number of reasons. Posessing beautifull lines, a rich history and a variety of possible color schemes, it has the distinct advantage of being almost perfectly suited to rubber powered model requirements without significant departure from scale (our model's only deviation is a 6% increase in horizontal tail surfaces).
Model construction should present no difficulty to anyone who has biult up a balsa-and-tuissue model from the many good kits available (At least one such kit should be in your experience before you tackle this model).
The structure has been deliberatley simplified here; advanced builders can save a great deal of weight by replacing the large top and bottom longerons with 1/16 sq strips, reducing the walls of the fuselae formers, and substituting 1/16 strips for the cut-out wing and tail pieces.
Although any size model can be scaled form these plans, the best scale is 1/12, giving a span of 34-3/4 inches (three times plan size)..."

ScaleType: This (oz2577) is a scale plan. Where possible we link scale plans to Wikipedia, using a text string called ScaleType.
If we got this right, you now have a couple of direct links (above) to 1. see the Wikipedia page, and 2. search Oz for more plans of this type. If we didn't, then see below.
Notes:
ScaleType is formed from the last part of the Wikipedia page address, which here is https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Focke-Wulf_Fw_56
Wikipedia page addresses may well change over time.
For more obscure types, there currently will be no Wiki page found. We tag these cases as ScaleType = NotFound. These will change over time.
Corrections? Use the correction form to tell us the new/better ScaleType link we should be using. Thanks.

* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
Scaling
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
