User commentsHi Steve I have downloaded this plan and had it printed to the scale as printed at the top of the plan (big plan). Everything looked OK and apart from a little lack of clarity on the text it should be workable. Only one small problem, the scale for the plane and the engine don't match. The pulsejet in the plan looks very much like a Dyna-Jet and as you may know Hobbyking have just released what looks like a copy of the Dyna-Jet for US$99. The dimensions of the Dyna-jet (and the HK jet) are 550mm long and 64mm diam. which does not match the pulsejet drawn on the Kriz plan. To print the plan so that it matches the jet's correct size the plan has to be scaled down to about 57%. Then the plane and the engine are in correct proportion but the actual dimensions of the parts don't match the plan ie. the wing span goes from 1.63m to 930mm, etc. I don't know if this would cause problems with flight characteristics of the model but at least it would look correct. Sorry for the long message a

Hi, dont know if you signed this, the ending is gone. Sounds like the plan is ok and to scale, but not suited to your project?

* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
