Quote: "Steve & Mary: Since you were able to receive my Feather Merchant plan, I thought I'd have a go with another. I recently picked up a B&W laser kit from the 1990s. It was missing a few parts but they're all plotted on the plan which I'm sending to you.

Since it is scaled to 800 square inches, I'm assuming it was marketed as a Foxacoy model. They actively promoted the event in the American Midwest. The box also contained an old price list for the kits and plans that they offered. I sure would like to get a hold of more of them. Maybe some of the website viewers have them tucked away.

One bit of information that was particularly interesting. These kits were cut and packaged by New Order Amish in Indiana. Except for using a laser, you can't get much more old fashioned than that! A far cry from the ARTFs coming in from the Far East."

Notes

* Credit field

The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.

Scaling

This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
